Dr. Carina is the first scientist to receive both distinctions simultaneously, a milestone that highlights her academic excellence and the profound impact of her work in the field of biotechnology. Her award-winning thesis, entitled “Exploring New Technological Alternatives for Sugarcane Bagasse Biorefineries: Oxidative Pretreatment Assisted by Hydrodynamic Cavitation and Sequential and Simultaneous Hydrolysis and Fermentation Processes”, presents innovative solutions for the sustainable utilization of sugarcane bagasse.
