Reopening of the Melvindale Site! On May 17th, our building was crashed into by a driver heading down Allen Road. Thankfully, the staff there at the time, was not physically injured. However, given the extensiveness of the crash through two of our counseling rooms, you can only imagine the emotional trauma of coming within inches (and I mean inches) of your life. Those who were not there can only think of how fortunate they were as they would have most likely lost their life. It isn't helpful to share the further chaos that ensued after this day, but five months later and we are finally reopening the Melvindale Dimensions of Wellness, Inc. A Nonprofit Corporation site! Our clients and staff have been patient during this long, drawn out, unnecessary and still unfinished process. Because the goal is to heal and move forward, leadership at Dimensions of Wellness welcomes you to join us from 2pm-4pm for refreshments on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Mental Health First Aid SHOUT OUT! I taught the Adult MHFA course for Little Jungle Network in Allen Park, Michigan on Friday to their directors and staff. Recognizing when we have challenges in our mental health, doing appropriate self care and appreciating and accepting differences in each other is key to positive mental health. What an amazing group of women! Make sure you "thank your child care provider" for their daily commitment to your child's health and wellness.
