Over the past 40-plus years, Dimensional has employed flexibility when it comes to buying and selling stocks. It’s part of what helps the firm go beyond indexing to help us provide investors with a better investment experience.

We recently made several stops across the Northeast and will wrap up this year’s Dimensional roadshow conferences in Dallas and Scottsdale in early December. Throughout 2024, we have hosted 61 events in 22 cities, offering financial professionals the opportunity to deepen their understanding of markets and collaborate with peers. We’ve had a blast this year—and we’re gearing up to do it all over again in 2025!

Dimensional Co-CIO and Co-CEO Gerard O’Reilly traveled to Noosa and Sydney to take part in the activities, which included a panel discussion about frontline research and implementation. He was joined on the panel by Dimensional Australia CEO Bhanu Singh and Robert Novy-Marx, a distinguished professor in finance who provides consulting services to Dimensional.

I recently traveled to the East Coast to speak at several Dimensional and industry events where I dove into a variety of fixed income topics, including duration position, credit positioning, global bonds, credit monitoring, the evolution of fixed income trading, and how to manage fixed income portfolios using a systematic approach. While there, I also had the pleasure of meeting with several large institutional clients to discuss Dimensional’s management of fixed income portfolios within the current markets. As an added bonus, I indulged in my love of photography as I explored the amazing cities of New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Savannah, Georgia.

Dimensional’s third annual Practice Management Symposium took place in Charlotte over two days and included more than 10 sessions, a dozen-plus speakers, and countless new connections. The at-capacity event provided an opportunity for financial professionals to connect with experts in the field and each other to learn, grow, and thrive in the industry.?

Members of the Dimensional team welcomed in the fall season with a visit to New York City to host a variety of events, including a Foundations Conference and lunch with institutional investors at the New York Stock Exchange, as well as a Women & Wealth gathering at The Beekman and an investment analyst conference at the Museum of Modern Art.
