We recently hosted an inspiring event for students from The Branson School at our Labath Landing community alongside our partners Swinerton, HomeFirst, and Factory OS. The students were deeply impacted by the incredible work being done to support residents transitioning out of unsheltered homelessness. Witnessing these future leaders engage with our mission firsthand was a powerful reminder that education and action go hand in hand and that even small moments of connection can spark lasting change. Thank you to our partners for making this experience possible and to The Branson School for their time and engagement. Together, we’re building more than housing—we’re building hope, dignity, and community.

Check out the recently published, thorough analysis of California housing policy from YIMBY Law. Reports like these provide critical transparency into what’s working and where more progress is needed. While California has made bold moves in housing policy, there is still work to do to ensure these laws translate into real, scalable solutions.?

Building scalable interim housing to help solve the homelessness crisis and spreading renewed optimism to local communities.

https://lnkd.in/e4XSesJN An excellent review of the recent housing laws passed in California, and their impact to date. Thank you YIMBY Law for such thorough analysis. Unfortunately we still have a long way to go on housing policy, but reports like this create transparency and inform decisions about what changes are still needed. Excellent work.

Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of the two young children who lost their lives in the freezing cold while their family sought shelter overnight in a van. This devastating and preventable tragedy is a reminder that far too many families do not have a safe place to sleep. More than ever, we need to come together—communities, organizations, and policymakers—to ensure everyone has a safe, dignified place to sleep and no one is forced to resort to their vehicle or the streets. We can and must do better for our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness. If you want to be part of the solution, support policies, organizations, and programs that create accessible, dignified housing options for people who need them. https://lnkd.in/eVmaTJmR

When communities come together, real change happens. To date, DignityMoves has built three interim supportive housing communities in the County of Santa Barbara, comprising 208 total units where residents can find stability, support, and a fresh start. In one year, these sites will serve more than 360 individuals—helping people come indoors, off the streets, and onto a path toward permanent housing. The success of the interim housing sites in Santa Barbara shows what is possible when we come together and invest in dignity and solutions that work. ?? Watch for a quick look into these communities—and imagine what we can do together in cities and counties across California!
