We value feedback from our partners and donors, and their testimonies really help us to understand how best to connect people to meaningful giving opportunities. One of our donors Joyce Inji recently sent us this note - "The reason why I decided to sponsor a child through DFN was because I was moved by what I learned from a friend at my church. He shared how vulnerable children are when they are not in school. I am a firm believer that everyone is special before God and that He loves us equally. I also strongly believe that education is the key to freedom. Every child should have the opportunity to get an education.” #WhyIGive

One of the privileges of leading DFN is being able to connect friends with opportunities to see the world, and expand their understanding. We regularly host trips to visit our partners in India so others can see first-hand the impact being made in the lives of real people - and begin to understand how their support makes a difference. Our director Jacque recently wrote some thoughts about this on our blog - be sure to read to understand how vision trips with partner organizations make such a difference.? https://lnkd.in/ev9J4JUf

Slumps happen to everyone, and they can even happen to organizations like DFN. Summer is a slower time and charitable giving tends to dip this season. In 2024, although giving is up across our sector, it is not keeping pace with inflation. We’ve all felt the pinch of higher prices at the pump and in the grocery store. This affects DFN as an organization, too! Yet the needs in India are greater than ever, and we stand ready to meet those needs. Read more in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/e4QrkD-R

This new video gives a glimpse into Kalka school — one of DFN's top-notch schools that has been changing lives in India for over 20 years. Kalka is brimming with bright students and eager minds, but is now forced to close its doors to new students due to overcrowding. This spring, we're fighting to open doors at Kalka once again.
