Our 2024 AI for Entrepreneurs workshop in Washington, DC was such a hit that the community asked for more—and we listened! On January 25th we partnered with Martha's Table and Black upStart once again to bring AI learning back to DC’s Ward 8! This event would not have been possible without the support of Verizon, the innovative AI curriculum and hands-on facilitation of The Black UpStart, the welcoming hospitality and coordination of Martha’s Table, and the swift and generous laptop donations by Computers 4 People facilitated by Digitunity. Together, we provided 20 aspiring entrepreneurs? a one-day immersive AI training, teaching them? to design and produce their own t-shirts, custom journals, and shea butter labels. A huge thank you to our partners, our returning and new participants, and to everyone who made this workshop such a success! As part of its Make Every Block Better initiative, H&R Block sought a secure and responsible way to repurpose retired tech assets. Through a partnership with Digitunity, they have provided communities with access to education, job opportunities, healthcare resources, and essential digital tools and resources. Since 2020, 94,342 technology items have been donated, benefiting 40+ nonprofit network organizations across 444 communities. We love sharing stories like this and playing a part in expanding digital access. The eero Connectivity Community Donation Program is a collaborative initiative with Connected Nation, Amazon, E2D, and others working to close the connectivity gap. At a recent drive-thru event, over 70 eero Pro devices were distributed to individuals and families in Charlotte, N.C., providing fast, reliable Wi-Fi for work, education, telehealth, and daily life. Programs like this remove financial barriers by supplying free mesh Wi-Fi devices to households needing adequate broadband access. Through this initiative, the Connectivity Community Donation Program seeks to support 5,000 households and over 12,000 individuals across the United States. By working together, we can make computer ownership and internet access possible for everyone.
