Today we are sharing our 2024 Annual Report. We were pleased to celebrate our 15th anniversary this year, and to continue our fruitful collaborations with many of you. In this report you will find a summary of the year’s highlights and the important developments that have occurred with each of our open source software projects. As we look forward to the rest of 2025, we have exciting things planned for the projects, and we hope to hear from you about the ways that we can all work together to support and sustain open source software and open access resources in digital scholarship.

Congratulations on making your match, Knowledge Commons!
Today, the Knowledge Commons team is delighted to share that Digital Scholar has donated $20,000 to supporting KC! ?? And, this donation is particularly impactful for us this year, as it means we’ve officially met our National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Challenge match! So glad to be part of this amazing programme introducing Tropy (https://tropy.org/) early next month. Tropy is an essential tool for any historian working with digitized historical sources today. I always like to emphasize that it is not exclusively a digital humanities tool; it is a tool for all historians. For those working with Digital Public History, the possibility to expand the tool with plugins like the Omeka integration (https://lnkd.in/dScYTsDe) or Tropifffy, to export IIIF collections from your Tropy project (https://lnkd.in/dA82rcbz), are great ways to streamline the curatorial and publishing activities of your project's web presence. If you are interested in learning more about Tropy but missed the opportunity to join the EUROPAST summer school, send me a PM. I'm happy to exchange ideas!
The programme for the EUROPAST summer school on digital tools for public history research and practices looks fantastic: Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) - University of Luxembourg Université du Luxembourg Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR)
