Does the benefit of elevating a leader's authentic voice outweigh the risks? The National Digital Roundtable and Social Driver worked with LinkedIn to launch a roundtable series focused on thought leadership and executive visibility in the age of #socialmedia. Nearly every hand went up at our latest event when we asked whose organizations are focusing more on their leaders' personal brands in 2025. This reinforced my belief that "faces are the new logos." It's a trend we see from the U.S. military to diplomatic missions, and from policy communicators to corporate leaders. Our participants pointed out some great folks to pay attention to: ?? Steven Taylor, CEO of Arthritis Foundation, leads by example on #LinkedIn. His team followed and uses the platform more than ever. ?? Naiffer Romero, Principal Scientist at US Pharmacopeia, educates the public about complex topics such as #nitrosamines to get the message out around the globe. ??? Eric Jehu, Vice President - Logistics at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, emphasizes Virginia's recognition as the top state for business and why supply chain is critical for business. ? AARP's executive social team members meet to coordinate the best way to support and amplify their leaders, illustrating what one participant called a "constellation effect." Yes, there are risks to rely on and elevate individual leaders to champion your corporate brand. But I think we all left agreeing that the benefits are worth it - so long as you know your goals and have a plan in place. Huge thanks to Christina Maruna for cohosting this series with me and to Erica Pyatt for bringing us together!
