EU Commissioner-candidates Henna Virkkunen and Stéphane Séjourné have now laid out their vision for the EU’s digital and Single Market future at their confirmation #hearings. ??Our verdict: THUMBS UP for both! ??Extraordinary things happen when European tech leaders unite, which is exactly what our?#DEPresidencySummit?is all about. ?? For two days, CEOs from our European network of 41 digital associations gathered in Warsaw to design the path toward a more competitive, more secure, and more digital Europe. We have a plan. And it's good to know the upcoming Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union shares some of our needed actions to make the EU #aDigitalPowerhouse. At the Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji, we heard from Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski and Secretary of State Dariusz Standerski, PhD, about what their tech priorities will be on their watch: 1????With Poland being one of the most cyber-attacked countries in Europe, pushing for pan-European #cybersecurity will be on top of their minds 2????With the #AIAct entering a new phase in 2025, the Poles want to make sure its implementation is smooth and seamless across the EU 3???With #competitiveness high on the EU agenda, the Poles will aim at reducing the administrative burden innovative companies face today This is what Poland wants to do for the EU. But then there's also what the EU can learn from Poland. Like their ambition to thrive in the technological era, visible with energy tech frontrunners like ORLEN S.A.. We were lucky to visit their HQ and hear about how they have gotten SO far.
