On the Ground at Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Natividad Pagan International Newcomers Academy ?? Today, DigitalC's Click team made it happen! We connected with 64 families, helping them to bring Canopy high-speed home internet service into their homes. ?? Whether helping them schedule an installation date or placing them on our waitlist, we are ensuring Cleveland residents get the connectivity they deserve. What made this possible? Collaboration. With the support of three incredible translators—fluent in Swahili, Pashto, and Arabic—we broke down language barriers, built trust, and made meaningful connections with Cleveland’s diverse community. ???? ???? Ward 5, home to historic housing communities managed by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, is getting the internet access it deserves—removing limits and expanding opportunities. Thanks to the city’s transformative investment in digital equity, Cleveland is shifting from “worst to first” in connectivity. With individual homes and apartment communities like Cedar Extension High Rise, Delaney/Renaissance Village, and Phoenix Village now connected to high-speed home internet - youth, families, and seniors alike have the tools they need to succeed—whether for school, work, or staying connected to the world. The effort to connect residents to Canopy is championed by Councilman Richard A. Starr, a dedicated activist and leader in Ward 5. Growing up in the King Kennedy public housing estates, Councilman Starr transformed his own challenges into opportunities and uplifted lives through his advocacy for youth engagement, public safety, and digital inclusion.
