Change in the digital age is happening at speed and with high frequency, creating interconnected disruptions that are difficult to identify and react to. Organizations will not be able to fully realize the benefits of digital twins if they are not equipped to change and mature in alignment to these developments. The Digital Twin Business Maturity Model white paper, published today, identifies the characteristics that an organization needs to develop to successfully navigate a digital twin journey. Authored by the Digital Twin Consortium's BMM Working Group, the paper describes a model for measuring progress. It will help you to create, run and benefit from digital twins to formulate, execute and continuously refresh business strategy. Today, the Digital Twin Consortium? (DTC) established the Digital Engineering Working Group, which is focused on model-based development methodologies and digital threads across the digital twin lifecycle phases. The working group will develop AI-based deliverables providing methodologies and frameworks for developing, deploying, operating, and maintaining digital twins throughout the system lifecycle. “Digital twins demand continuous validation of their virtual-physical relationships throughout system lifecycles,” said Dan Isaacs, GM & CTO of DTC. “Digital engineering, with key attributes of model-based development and digital thread, from concept to decommissioning, provides a foundational framework for systematic verification of fidelity, accuracy, and predictive capabilities.” Visit the working Group page: https://bit.ly/3V4DtnZ #digitaltwins #digitalengineering #digitalthread #modelbaseddevelopment #AI #GenAI #MAGS #artificialintelligence

"In the simplest of terms, digital twins specifically should have an intelligent element such as simulation/AI, etc. to allow forecasting the future and enable decisions to be made. The digital twin system also includes the processes for triggering those decisions (often automated but there are many examples with human-in-the-loop business processes)." Dive into the impact of digital twins on modern industries with insights from DTC ambassador David McKee.
