During day two of our League of Innovative Schools, League leaders enjoyed a full day of school site visits at six districts across Western PA and experienced incredible innovations in action. At South Fayette Township School District and Avonworth School District, they saw “Fly Like a Girl” (FLAG) drone program, Freight Farm hydroponics, a middle school aviation course, and more. At Fox Chapel Area School District and?Hampton Township School District, they saw a strong and embedded Portrait of a Graduate, a sensory garden and learning pavilion, and spaces specifically designed to foster student well-being. At Baldwin-Whitehall School District and South Allegheny Schools, they saw innovative learning spaces, a student-run coffee shop, cybersecurity courses, and more.
