  • Awesome week for Jeffrey Ekdom in Austin!

    Business Development Director at DIG

Whirlwind of a trip down to ATX this week. Huge thanks to Ted Velie and his team at the Midwest House for always curating the best people, content, and conversations. Their theme of Innovate, Create, and Originate rang true through each panel and discussion. Lots of talk around AI, obviously, but one trend I kept hearing was around the personalization/ people side of AI. How can we utilize it to do things like enhance our experience outdoors? I loved how Molly Stoecklein put it - “AI is nuanced, and that is best understood by humans.” How are we making sure that it's relevant, reliable, and responsible? It exciting to continue thinking about this with our customers and partners here at DIG - Digital Industry Group. Lots of great connections, lots of great BBQ, and getting out of the 30 degree MI weather to the Texas 80’s was a welcomed change of pace!

Painting & crafting (embroidery, needle felting—you name it!) ?? Baking and eating tacos ?? ??? Thrifting & antiquing for hidden gems Give Mallory a shoutout in the comments! ?? #DIGTeam #UXDesign #EmployeeSpotlight

Last fall, we conducted a survey, to learn more about how people use seagull.glos.org. By completing the survey, participants were entered into a drawing for a chance to win a sweet, new, shiny cooler, courtesy of our development partner DIG - Digital Industry Group! And last month, while at the Detroit Boat Show (Feb 1-8), we gave booth visitors the opportunity to win another cooler. After all this time, both of the winners finally have their coolers in hand! Michael Cole, of Michigan, won the Seagull Survey cooler!? And Kayla Darga, of Michigan, won the boat show cooler!? Congratulations both! Thanks DIG! And thank you to all who participated!?

  • The Future of Sales in Digital Agencies: Building Stronger Relationships & Partnerships As digital agencies navigate an increasingly competitive landscape, the future of sales will be less about aggressive one-off pitches and more about fostering deep, long-term relationships. Successful agencies will shift from transactional selling to partnership-driven growth, where trust, collaboration, and shared goals become the foundation of every client and partner interaction. Here at DIG, we focus on taking a relationship-first approach with all of our new prospects and clients. It’s a bit of a longer-term mindset, but the benefits can be endless. One of the ways we do this is through taking our clients and making them long-term strategic partners. Clients are no longer looking for just a service provider—they want a strategic partner who understands their business goals and actively contributes to their success. Agencies that focus on relationship-building rather than one-off sales will retain clients longer and unlock more growth opportunities. How to Adapt: ? Invest in Client Success: Go beyond delivering projects! Offer proactive solutions, industry insights, and strategies to help clients scale. ? Build Multi-Touchpoint Relationships: Don’t just rely on the account manager; involve leadership, strategists, and specialists in client interactions. ? Co-Create Goals: Align agency services with measurable client outcomes, ensuring shared success. This article is a contribution from Jeffrey Ekdom, Sr Director of Business Development at DIG.

  • ??? DIG Give Back! ??? One of the heartbeats of DIG is giving back to our community, and this year we had the opportunity to team up with one of our clients, JOY99, to make Christmas a little brighter for a family in need. DIG Team members spent time shopping for gifts off their wish list and wrapping them with love! It was a truly special experience. We hope these gifts bring warmth, joy, and magic to their holiday season! A big thank you to JOY99 for making this happen. We’re so grateful to give back and share the spirit of the season. #DIGGiveBack #Joy99 #CommunityLove #HolidaySpirit #GivingBack #MakingMomentsMatter
