The Digital Energy Council recently submitted comments to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to help inform their decision making. As society becomes increasingly digital, technological advancements can only progress as far as the energy foundation upon which they are built. Key Recommendations: ??Reform interconnection queues to address growing energy demands of AI and HPC. ??Promote a pro-innovation, pro-business regulatory environment to foster technology advancements. ??Leverage AI and HPC to enhance energy infrastructure through improved grid management, predictive maintenance, and optimized energy usage. ???Encourage partnerships between government, industry, and academia to accelerate innovation and strengthen the U.S. digital energy landscape. We look forward to engaging with policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators as we develop the technology of tomorrow with the energy realities of today. #AI #Energy #Innovation #DigitalEnergy #Bitcoin

The Digital Energy Council supports the AI and Energy Working Group, led by Representative Julie Fedorchak and her recently released Request for Information (RFI) seeks to gather gather input from stakeholders on the energy demands of AI and policy solutions to ensure reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy access. The RFI requests input on three critical pillars: ? Securing Adequate Power Supply: Identifying solutions to meet the projected surge in energy consumption driven by AI data centers. ?? Grid Security: Developing strategies to safeguard the power grid from cyber and physical threats while integrating new energy resources. ?? AI Leadership: Ensuring the United States maintains a competitive edge in the global AI landscape. More information can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eRiFKerb We encourage all stakeholders to submit responses by May 15, 2025, via email to [email protected]. #DigitalEnergy #AI #Energy #PoweringAI #EnergyInfrastructure #Innovation #HPC #Bitcoin

? Recently, we had the opportunity to ask Jay Obernolte Chair of the House Bipartisan AI Task Force and member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce if he expects a possible select committee taking a look at different market designs and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission policies that may be hampering load interconnection for data centers. ?? Technology development is critical to our digital economy, yet challenges with load interconnection continue to slow progress for the #energy infrastructure that is needed. Addressing these hurdles is essential to ensuring a resilient energy grid that supports growing demands. ?? Check out his thoughts below and how policymakers are thinking about these crucial issues. #DigitalEnergy #AI #Btc #HPC

Yesterday, the?House Committee on Energy and Commerce Energy Subcommittee?held a hearing focused on the future of U.S. energy infrastructure:?"Scaling for Growth: Meeting the Demand for Reliable, Affordable Electricity." It was encouraging to hear policymakers + industry leaders discuss how new and emerging technologies, like AI, digital asset mining + HPC, can support energy infrastructure. ?Key Takeaways: ? USA Needs more electricity generation using all fuels and all technologies ?? Heading for a supply chain crunch? ??? Permitting reform and speed to market will continue to be top priorities This was just the beginning—more hearings are expected as the nation prepares for an energy future shaped by?technological innovation and policy decisions. ?? Rep Nick Langworthy asks Noel Black from Southern Company an important question- what policy considerations should be made to ensure grid reliability and efficiency to accommodate these new energy intensive industries such as #ai #bitcoin #digitalenergy?

?? Jay Obernolte, Chair of the Bipartisan AI Task Force and member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce joined the Digital Energy Council this week for an insightful discussion on the intersection of energy and technology. ???? In the conversation, he highlights a key finding from the Task Force Report: while the U.S. has been leading AI innovation and deployment, energy production has emerged as one of the most significant constraints. This wasn’t anticipated a year ago when the focus was on chips, data, and technical talent. ?? But now, it’s clear that energy is one of the most crucial factors to address, particularly from a federal policy standpoint. ? Check out his insights on the Task Force Report’s energy findings here: ?? ?? #AI #Bitcoin #HPC #DigitalEnergy
