We are delighted to announce DermaSensor, Inc. as a new Digital.Health Growth Catalyst member. DermaSensor, Inc. is more than technology; it is a commitment to helping physicians to promptly detect skin cancer risk at the point of care with the first AI-powered medical device for all three common skin cancers. DermaSensor, Inc. was founded in 2009 to help improve patient access to effective skin cancer assessments. Primary care physicians are at the forefront of healthcare delivery, handling diverse and increasing medical concerns while playing a critical role in the early identification of disease. To date, primary care physicians' limited options for evaluating suspicious lesions have been the naked eye or magnified visual examination of lesions, both of which are dependent on clinical training and subjective judgment.?But now, physicians can use DermaSensor, Inc.’s AI-powered spectroscopy technology to non-invasively evaluate cellular and subcellular characteristics of a lesion in question for skin cancer. The wireless, handheld device then provides an immediate, objective result using an FDA-cleared algorithm. You can learn more about?DermaSensor, Inc.?and connect with one of their team members by clicking on the?"contact?company” button on the?DermaSensor?profile on Digital.Health.? https://lnkd.in/gaARgzM6 We welcome Cody Simmons, Ruth Stachura, MBA, Jacqueline Barberena, Kiran Chatha, and the entire team at DermaSensor, Inc. to the Digital.Health community! We are delighted to announce the?American College of Cardiology (ACC)?as a new?Digital.Health Ecosystem Partner. The ACC’s mission is to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health for all. With more than 56,000 members worldwide spanning the entire cardiovascular team, they serve as the professional home for clinicians and researchers seeking the latest science, research and education. Ami Bhatt, MD, Chief Innovation Officer, ACC, presented at the inaugural Digital.Health Studio Series webinar: Digital Twins Meet Healthcare Transformation - How In Silico Works Today and in the Future. Among the insights she shared is that “trial and error on humans will someday be considered inhumane when digital twins are within our reach.” We welcome you to watch the recording of the Digital.Health Studio Series webinar on digital twins: https://lnkd.in/e5EBfJ9b Dr. Bhatt and her team have created an?AI-enabled clinician resource center?which she refers to in a recent interview as aiming to “educate our members on what AI is, where we can and should use it, and where it may not be ready for prime time.” She emphasized the role of?collaborative intelligence?where clinicians offer real time feedback to technology companies both during tech development and importantly, deployment. Grateful to be featured in MobiHealthNews today, discussing how #AI is transforming #healthcare (recognizing that it's still early days...), some of the art of the possible, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead. Have a read here: https://lnkd.in/gqHZwmAk Thanks to Jessica Hagen for the thoughtful interview, where we touched on: -How AI can become a democratized tool to provide personalized "agentic" health to improve proactive/preventative care by integrating diverse, multimodal data sources (genomics, wearables, EHRs etc ) to enable individualized health profiles and predictive interventions. -"Generative Health"?where the interfaces, will increasingly match the users/patient's age, culture, language, personality type, education and health goals, and will really start to make the data turn into engaging, real-time actionable insights and information that can be leveraged at the bedside/webside, at the home or in the gym.? -Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Breakthroughs emerge when clinicians, technologists, designers, investors to patients, and innovators of all types break down silos, learn from each other, and collaborate. This is exactly what we cultivate at NextMed Health—join us March 30–April 2 to be part of the conversation: https://NextMed.Health. -Regulatory & System Challenges – Outdated models, regulations and workflows must evolve to unlock AI and other converging technologies full potential in health and biomedicine. Many impressive solutions exist today (explore 4000+ on Digital.Health https://Digital.Health ) but need to be matched to needs of the clinician, patient and system, and integrate into diverse, often misaligned incentives and workflows. - Healthcare anywhere fused with 'Self Care'. How will this impact the future of the medical workforce– The first-year medical students of today won’t complete training until at least 2032—how will AI reshape their roles in the next decade and what are the implication for selecting and training the next generation of clinicians? #AIinHealthcare #GenerativeAI #technology #MedTech #BigData #DigitalHealth #NextMed #HealthInnovation #FutureOfMedicine #NextMedHealth #MedEd
