A new study out of Sweden from Karolinska Institutet reveals that exercising regularly, avoiding smoking, and moderating alcohol can help combat the accelerated brain aging associated with diabetes and prediabetes. “Having an older-appearing brain for one’s chronological age can indicate deviation from the normal aging process and may constitute an early warning sign for dementia.
