If you’re not paying attention, you NEED to be. What’s Changing? 1. That UPC barcode on EVERY package sold in retail globally is going away. Yes, you heard me correctly. It’s being replaced by 2D QR codes powering inventory, POS, and direct consumer engagement in a single scan. 2. Ever heard of the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP)? If you sell in the EU, your products must have a QR code linking to a digital passport page by 2030, maybe earlier depending on your vertical. You will need to share every product's lifecycle, materials, carbon footprint, and more. 3. US regulations may soon allow QR- labeling. Imagine real-time access to allergen, ingredient, and compliance info with a scan on your product. No more costly packaging reprints and long lead times. It’s a no-brainer for brands, regulators, and the environment.
