In the Ko?ice region, digitizing long-term care is tough. Outdated systems and poor coordination between care providers are major hurdles. ?? To overcome these challenges, we need to: ?? Invest in better infrastructure ?? Improve collaboration between care providers ?? Train staff to use new technologies ?? The healthcare landscape in the Podkarpackie Region is undergoing a digital transformation! ???? Several innovative tools are emerging to improve patient care and efficiency: a) Digitalized Nursing Documentation: Streamlining workflows and enhancing medical record management. b) Remote Health Monitoring: Enabling continuous patient supervision and proactive care. c) VR and AR: Providing therapeutic support for physical and mental health. A standout solution is the DC Analytics system, developed as part of the #DigiCare4CE project for the Donum Corde Centre. Slovenia, like many European nations, is increasingly turning to digital solutions to address the challenges of an aging population. Three digital tools stand out: e-Oskrba (e-Care): A remote monitoring system for seniors, offering 24/7 support and fall detection (https://lnkd.in/eSajCuRV). eZdravje (eHealth): A national health portal providing access to personal health records and e-prescriptions (https://ezdrav.si). Magda: A mobile app designed for older adults, offering a range of features from SOS functions to educational content (https://lnkd.in/egt8k3eh). The biggest bottleneck in the digitization of long-term care is the absence of methodology/guidelines that consider the needs of care providers and users/staff members, while also complying with compatibility and interoperability requirements with other health and social care SW systems. Currently, information systems primarily support administrative work, with limited (if any) support for care processes. The lack of mobile communications and broadband expansion in rural regions like Upper Palatinate is a major barrier to digital transformation in long-term care. This limits the availability of WiFi in care facilities, preventing the adoption of innovative digital tools that could significantly improve care delivery. A hot news in the Czech Republic in the second half of 2024 is the successful connection of two data systems - one operated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the other by the Ministry of Health. This connection and sharing of both health and social data can be considered a strategic necessity for many reasons. Only by linking health and social data can we adopt the right strategies to address the consequences of an aging population, increase the efficiency of public budgets, address the growing number of chronically ill citizens/patients, and the decline in the number of people of economically productive age. #DigiCare4CE #digitalization #CzechRepublic #dataintegration #cooperationiscentral
