We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our second EQuiMama cohort! Over the past few days, a remarkable group of women has engaged in an intensive and transformative training program in partnership with the Mothership Institute. Our trainees have gained essential knowledge and skills in doula care, maternal health advocacy, and emotional support, equipping them to make a significant impact in their communities. We were incredibly honored to have Iya Abiye Mawusi Ashashkir, ND, MH, Midwife, lead our sessions. Her wealth of knowledge and insights have been instrumental in empowering our trainees, inspiring them to advocate for better maternal health outcomes. ?I’m excited to share our upcoming EQuiMama initiative at the Dieudonne Foundation. This June, we’re launching our second cohort, training 250 bilingual doulas over the next 3-5 years to support the Haitian and BIPOC communities in Indianapolis. We’re committed to reducing maternal and infant mortality and advocating for families during their most critical times.
