ICYMI ?? S&T’s Under Secretary delivered a powerful keynote speech at the 7th Annual U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) Summit at the MITRE facilities in McLean, Virginia. The Under Secretary encouraged the #DHS community to think strategically about the future of national security. DHS leaders engaged in discussions on innovation in the face of new challenges while also highlighting the strong commitment to pushing boundaries of what’s possible. It was amazing to have all three DHS FFRDCs — the Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute, the Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center, and the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center — come together to discuss the critical role they play in supporting DHS’s mission. Collaboration across these organizations is key to accelerating technological advancements that help keep the nation safe. As S&T continues to leverage data and #AI, it’s more important than ever to ensure cutting-edge solutions align with DHS’s evolving needs.
