As grant writers, words are our superpower—we craft compelling narratives to move audiences to action. But recently, we stumbled upon a fascinating linguistic twist: The word “priority” didn’t always have a plural form! Before 1936, “priority” meant the top thing—not just one of many. Imagine how different strategizing and grant writing would be if that were still the case! When everything is a priority, nothing is. Crafting a focused, clear grant narrative means identifying the priority, not a laundry list of them. Should we bring back the singular use of priority? Comment below! ?? For a higher level of successful results from grant research, organizations should strive for helping your team learn to agree on a "strategic no," or at least a "not now." This is a difficult muscle for some teams to develop, because of the constant, simultaneous push to secure additional funding to support the mission. In this session, we will share tactics and processes you can utilize in your team to build this ability within your organization. Learning Objectives: - Learn about what proactive grant seeking is - Learn how to use the variety of research tool options to help your colleagues make a go/no-go decision - Learn how to develop a strategic, manageable, annual grant-seeking plan - Learn how to help your team and organization feel comfortable with making "strategic no" decisions about funding opportunities Register for our upcoming Lunch and Learn on April 16th, 12:00pm ET https://buff.ly/UxrOAj4 #GrantWritingTraining #GrantOpportunities #GrantResearch #GrantFunding
