What a powerful few days in Beaufort, NC with some of the most visionary women I know. The water, the walk, the prayers, and the strategies we created together will ripple far beyond this moment. As recipients of the NC IDEA Ecosystem Grant, we’ve been brought together not just to build—but to transform the entrepreneurial landscape for BIPOC and minority-owned businesses in Eastern North Carolina. Together, we are the Eastern NC Regional Engagement Collective, uniting to provide asset-centered growth and culturally aligned support to rural entrepreneurs across ENC. ?? The brilliant Shemekka Ebony, founder of Black Girl Magic Market (BGMM), whose vision to convene and activate like-minded organizations has laid the foundation for this collaborative movement. ?? DG McGee Enterprises, led by yours truly, brings expertise in project management, cohort creation, and strategic programming to help service-based entrepreneurs scale. ?? ARRAY Community Development, co-founded by Lavonda Daniels, focuses on improving the economic health and well-being of ENC communities through microloans, credit coaching, and back-office support. ?? Genesis Block Foundation, a Black-owned 501(c)(3), provides quality business training, branding development, and production space to help entrepreneurs move from ideation to commercialization in Southeastern NC. We’re not just meeting—we’re mobilizing.
