关于我们

The DFW Texas Recruiters Network (DFWTRN) is a non-profit professional association formed for the purpose of sharing and networking with recruiters and human resource professionals. We strive in educating our members, assisting with staffing difficult positions, offering tips to reduce cost-of-hire, developing professional skills, and for promoting camaraderie and professional discourse. We achieve this through education, networking, and sharing resources and ideas. DFWTRN attracts nationally recognized speakers, technology partners, resource providers, and top-notch recruiting talent. Our members are corporate, contract and staff augmentation recruiters working in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. As a member of DFWTRN, you can network with your peers and discuss challenges, opportunities, new initiatives, and best practices. The DFWTRN Board of Directors is a group of recruiting professionals who volunteer their time to promote the group and add value to its overall effectiveness. Our monthly Lunch and Learns offer great speaker presentations on the latest recruiting sourcing tips and tools. We meet the first Wednesday of the month at The Clubs of Prestonwood - The Creek. • I just read an insightful article titled "AI-Powered Recruiting: How to Avoid These Common Mistakes in Programmatic Job Advertising" and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you all. As a career coach, I find it crucial to stay updated on the latest trends in recruitment technology. The article highlights the growing importance of AI in recruitment, particularly in programmatic job advertising. It emphasizes that while AI can significantly enhance the hiring process, there are common pitfalls that recruiters should be aware of. Key takeaways I found valuable: 1.??????The importance of setting clear goals before implementing AI tools 2.??????The need for high-quality, bias-free data to train AI systems 3.??????The critical role of human oversight in AI-driven processes What struck me most was the reminder that AI should complement human skills, not replace them. As I always tell my clients, technology is a tool, but human judgment remains invaluable in the hiring process. For job seekers, understanding these trends can help you navigate the evolving landscape of AI-powered recruitment. Remember, while AI may be screening your application, it's still humans making the final decisions. I highly recommend giving this article a read if you're interested in the future of recruitment or looking to optimize your job search strategy. Article by Noel Cocca Link:?https://lnkd.in/eVazzw5z

  • Applying to jobs while currently employed requires a delicate balance to ensure professionalism, confidentiality, and efficiency. Here are some tips to effectively manage the job search process while working: #dfwtrn #jobsearch #careers Maintain Confidentiality: Keep your job search confidential to avoid any potential complications at your current job. This includes not using company resources (like email or office equipment) for your job search activities. Manage Your Time: Allocate specific times outside of your working hours to focus on job applications. This might include early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Ensure that your job search activities do not interfere with your current job responsibilities. Use Personal Devices and Accounts: Use your personal email address, phone number, and devices for job applications. This helps in keeping your job search separate from your current employment. Be Discreet: Avoid discussing your job search openly at your workplace, especially with colleagues who may inadvertently mention it to others. Update LinkedIn and Online Profiles: Ensure your LinkedIn profile and any other professional profiles accurately reflect your experience and career interests. However, be mindful of making excessive updates that might alert your current employer. Schedule Interviews Carefully: If you get called for interviews, try to schedule them outside of your regular working hours if possible. If not, you may need to use vacation or personal days for time off. Dress Appropriately: If you have interviews during the workday, dress in a way that won't raise suspicions at your current workplace, such as changing into interview attire before leaving home. Stay Committed to Your Current Job: Even though you're searching for a new position, continue to perform well at your current job. Maintaining professionalism and fulfilling your responsibilities is crucial until you transition to a new role. Be Patient and Persistent: Job searching while employed can take longer due to time constraints, but remain persistent and patient. Set realistic expectations and keep refining your approach. Prepare for a Smooth Transition: Once you secure a new job, handle the resignation process professionally. Provide adequate notice to your current employer and offer assistance in transitioning your responsibilities. By following these tips, you can effectively navigate the job search process while maintaining professionalism and respect for your current employer.
