This launch coincides with National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), recognizing the contributions of people with disabilities and the need to remove barriers in the workplace. We’re excited to build a more inclusive environment for both employees and travelers at DFW! ??

  • At DFW Airport, public safety is our No. 1 priority, and we train all year with the best people in the business to prepare for any scenario. ?? On Wednesday morning, we held a major emergency response drill with many of our partners at the local, state, and federal levels to test our plans and hone our response. Thanks to the many partners who participated in today's activation, and thanks to our team for their commitment to excellence in safety and the security of the traveling public.

Our 5K on the Runway was a blast this Saturday, bringing together hundreds of runners (and walkers) from our local communities to celebrate the airport's 50th anniversary!   • After a 40-year career in aviation, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport CEO Sean Donohue today announced his planned retirement in 2025. Sean has served as our CEO since 2013, bringing nearly 30 years of aviation experience including executive roles with Virgin Australia Airlines and United Airlines. Under his leadership, DFW has grown to become the third-busiest airport in the world, earned back-to-back titles of best North American airport for customer service, achieved carbon neutrality and started construction on a $9 billion modernization plan that includes the new Terminal F. ? The DFW Airport Board of Directors will initiate a global search for a successor.? ? We wish Sean the best in his well-earned retirement!

    After 40 years of service to the aviation industry, the time has come for me to pass the torch at DFW and embark on the next chapter in my own life – retirement! Aviation has taken me on one heck of a ride, allowing me to see nearly every corner of the world, live in beautiful places, and participate in the incredible opportunities at both airlines and airports. Today, I have the great privilege of overseeing the best airport in the business, DFW, and the past 11 years have been filled with incredible milestones, great people and lots of fond memories. I have appreciated every moment of it. I want to thank our Mayors – Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson and Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker – along with the DFW Board of Directors led by Chair DeMetris Sampson, along with our employees, business partners, customers and community for allowing me to serve and leave DFW in a strong position to take on the next five decades. But this isn’t goodbye just yet, as I will be with DFW until next year. Until then, thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey.
