So many posts for "Internship - Social Media" I often see posts for businesses looking for an intern to run their social media. More often than not, it is a business that does not have a marketing department, or even an individual who manages marketing. Bringing in an intern without someone on staff who understands marketing, branding, social media, etc. may be a recipe for disaster. You are essentially turning over a priceless piece of your business (your brand) to someone who likely knows nothing about your brand. You might end up with an incredible success story. But at the same time, unless you are planning on spending a substantial amount of time with this individual to help them understand your brand, your voice, etc. the posts may end up not sounding at all like your brand. Yes, I know that hiring an intern may sound like a win-win — save money by paying someone a minimal amount & provide real world experience to a student. However, if you don't have a marketing person to mentor the intern, you should be prepared to spend the time with the student to help him/her get it right so both the student and your business can succeed. #Internship #socialmediaintern #socialmediamarketing #brandintegrity
