National Recycling Week is a great time to celebrate achievements across Dexus as we aim to increase reuse and recycling rates across our assets. This year, we’re thrilled to spotlight Waterfront Brisbane’s commitment to a circular economy! ? Check out the impressive timelapse that showcases the careful deconstruction of the old Riverwalk and Eagle Street Pier. They successfully removed a substantial 31,580 tonnes of material from site, with over 98% being reused, recycled and diverted from landfill. ? We were pleased to take part in a webinar with S&P Global on deciphering the Australian climate risk disclosures, which are taking effect in 2025. These mandatory climate-related financial disclosures are aimed at encouraging greater corporate transparency, and include requirements to report on forward-looking disclosures, Scope 3 emissions, scenario analysis and transition planning. ? Our Head of Sustainability Ramana James shared his insights from over two decades of leading corporate sustainability disclosures, including on the importance of collecting data with the intent to drive commercial outcomes rather than simply as a compliance obligation. Ramana discussed how Dexus is well-positioned to meet the requirements and to also support our investors and customers as they are looking to comply with the legislation, setting their own sustainability goals and increasingly seeking sustainability data to drive unique business insights. #sustainability #climateaction
