The current Steering Committee for the Developer Relations Foundation is seeking 2 additional members, who will serve terms until elections are held, which is anticipated for November 2025.?The deadline to apply is Monday, 10 March 2025. The core responsibilities of Steering Committee members are: * Collecting input on priorities and encouraging community involvement to advance processes and frameworks. This includes forming and overseeing working groups to address specific areas of interest. * Leading and facilitating community calls across various time zones (AMER, EMEA, and APAC) to foster open discussions, share updates, and gather feedback from community and working group participants * Overseeing project management and operational tasks such as public relations, website development, repo documentation and communications Candidates with demonstrated experience or equivalent work in the following areas will be prioritized: * A core Developer Relations function (which may include, but not be limited to, advocacy, engineering, technical writing, marketing, community management, or program management) * Leading complex communities, programs, and/or teams * Cultivating internal cross-functional relationships * Building external community * Preferred experience in engaging with open source communities, projects, and/or foundations and understanding of open source governance models * Engagement with Developer Relations Foundation activities, or a history of endorsing and supporting DRF’s mission * For at minimum one position, availability for APAC-friendly meetings, including experience working on APAC programs We ask for applicants to be prepared to commit a minimum of 5 hours a week.
