A Night of Inspiration, Insights, and Impact ?? Last night, over 150 members came together for an unforgettable General Body meeting, in collaboration with @virginiacreditunion. DMC members, proudly wearing their hoodies, engaged in an inspiring panel discussion with top CEOs, gaining valuable insights on career growth & community impact. We also enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Jamaica House, adding a special touch to the evening. A HUGE thank you to Virginia Credit Union for their incredible $15,000 donation, which will support our future initiatives. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this night of unity such a success!

THIS WEEK'S SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT: DMC congratulates Bakara Diallo on securing an internship with the Forensic Services Unit of the Virginia Beach Police Department as a crime scene technician intern. Words from Bakara, I’d like to express my gratitude to DMC for fostering a brotherhood and a safe space on campus for like-minded people to come together and be productive. If there’s one idea DMC has emphasized, it’s the fact that you really have to work for what you want, and nothing will come easy. Overall, DMC’s culture has been a constant source of motivation, pushing me to become the best version of myself, and for that, I am very grateful.

DMC congratulates Jason Nartey in successfully securing an internship with WillowTree TELUS Digital Company, as a Growth Marketer. Words from Jason, DMC played a major role in helping me secure my internship. The focus on professionalism taught me how to carry myself in the right way, and the help with setting up my LinkedIn made sure I was putting my best foot forward online. The resume workshops were also a huge help, teaching me how to highlight my skills and experiences in a way that stood out to recruiters. I also want to thank Dr. Goode, for his constant encouragement and support—his motivation pushed me to stay focused, believe in myself, and keep working toward my goals.
