Out now: Annual Report 2024 Today we published our Annual Report containing the bank’s audited results for the 2024 financial year, showcasing strong underlying performance with a clear path toward achieving 2025 targets. ?? The report includes the bank’s Consolidated Financial Statements, the 2024 Compensation Report and management’s outlook for 2025. It also contains the bank’s 2024 Sustainability Statement. The report highlights a 4% growth in net revenues, reaching €30.1 billion, and a solid CET1 capital ratio of 13.8%. Despite challenges posed by specific litigation charges, the bank remained robust and increased its profit before tax (excluding non-operating costs) by 16% to € 7.9 billion. Looking ahead, Deutsche Bank remains committed to sustainable growth. It aims to increase net revenues to around EUR 32 billion and reduce its cost-income ratio to below 65% by 2025. The bank also plans to increase shareholder returns through dividends and share buybacks. Deutsche Bank was founded as a joint stock company in 1870 in Berlin with a total share capital of 5 million thalers. The Deutsche Bank shares began trading for the first time on the Berlin Stock Exchange on May 12, 1870, but share certificates were only issued as of September 1871. In 1929 Deutsche Bank merged with Disconto-Gesellschaft. A new design was needed, which was to remain in use for decades. Until 1966 share prices were given as a percentage, in Deutsche Mark until 1998, and from 1998 onwards in euros. The look of the Deutsche Bank shares has changed over time. Physical certificates are today a thing of the past, with buyers receiving virtual ones instead. But – and this is quite unique – the name and legal form of the issuer have remained unchanged since 1870. ??
