Our Detroit PBS and 90.9 WRCJ team met up this week at the site of our new building in Detroit for a tour of the property and the surrounding Milwaukee Junction neighborhood with City Institute. Where's Milwaukee Junction, you ask? It's east of New Center, across from Ford Piquette Avenue Plant and in walking distance from College for Creative Studies, the Fisher Building, TechTown Detroit, Henry Ford Health, Wayne State University, Detroit Institute of Arts and other major Detroit landmarks. It will still be a little while before our building is ready for us to move in - but we can hardly wait!

View our award-winning work: https://lnkd.in/gPJM_neq Northern Michigan Trauma Camp takes alternative approach to helping returning citizens with re-entry There’s?help available for returning citizens –?those?re-entering society each year after serving time in prison – as they try to adapt and adjust to life on the outside.?At a small program held in Northern Michigan last fall called Trauma Camp, returning citizens were able to confer and learn coping skills from counselors. The annual gathering was started in 2020 by?Aaron Kinzel, a faculty member in the University of Michigan-Dearborn's Criminology and Criminal Justice program.
