?? I had the incredible opportunity to attend and volunteer at <Hacking with the Homies/>, an event organized by Detroit Black Tech. The experience was both inspiring and enriching! Here are a few of my key takeaways: 1. Embrace MVPs for Startups: When working with startups and new founders, focusing on Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) is crucial. A big thank you to Chelsea C. for the valuable insights on leveraging Adalo and Flutterflow to achieve this. Your presentation was truly enlightening! 2. Multiple Solutions to Problems: It's important to find more than one way to solve a problem. Often, the first solution isn't the best. Thanks to Jacob Williams for sharing this wisdom. 3. Authenticity in Professional Impressions: We are responsible for the impressions we leave on people. Acknowledging challenges and areas for improvement allows us to be authentic without being self-deprecating. What truly matters are the actions we take to address these challenges. A special shoutout to Miranda Michalski and Jacob Williams from Atomic Object. Your support and conversation provided me with the space to reflect on my professional journey, adding immense value to my Hacking with the Homies experience. I also want to extend my gratitude to Jeseekia Vaughn for her attentiveness and kindness. I will definitely keep an eye on your workshops and encourage others to do the same. Lastly, volunteering wouldn’t have been as fun without the incredible team of volunteers. Shout out to Edgar Figueroa and Ty Trapps, your energy and dedication made the experience unforgettable. Most importantly, thank you Bandhan Preet Kaur for being the best resource when it comes to Detroit Tech events. Follow her, you won't regret it ! Looking forward to more events like this and continuing to grow with the tech community in Detroit! ?? #TechCommunity #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking #Startups #Innovation #HackingWithTheHomies #DetroitBlackTech
