This past Friday, SVF kicked off our first-ever Detroit Impact Retreat. Our new class of Investment Associates brought our commitment to community-focused investing to life by spending a day in the Motor City. The trip was filled with education, team-building, and insights from Detroit's venture capital ecosystem leaders. A big thank you to the Urban Tech Xchange for hosting us during the first half of the morning. We had meaningful discussions on the importance of sourcing and screening through an intersectional lens in the VC industry. Our panelists also provided valuable insights on investing in Detroit.
