I had the pleasure of accompanying Innovate UK and 10 fantastic UK companies in Detroit this week as they kicked off the Global Business Innovation Programme on Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) charging technologies. We gained lots of insights into Detroit's mobility and EV charging innovation ecosystem, which has key support from the state of Michigan, industry and academic partners. It was very exciting to visit the flourishing communities at Newlab and Detroit Smart Parking Lab and see some of the technologies being developed, including a demonstration by Electreon of how to make a street that can charge your EV (!).
