Detroit Regional Partnership's President & CEO Maureen Donohue Krauss, FM spoke on a panel at SBN Detroit’s “Restoring Detroit’s Tree Canopy for Sustainable Community Growth” breakfast. Maureen, joined by Robert Riney of Henry Ford Health and Lionel Bradford of The Greening of Detroit, talked about the efforts the #DetroitRegion has taken to bolster sustainability and foster community engagement.
I had the honor of moderating a fantastic panel discussion with these inspiring leaders, all committed to strengthening our community by means of improving the environment and quality of life in Detroit. At SBN Detroit’s “Restoring Detroit’s Tree Canopy for Sustainable Community Growth” breakfast, I had the privilege of leading a conversation with Robert Riney of Henry Ford Health, Maureen Donohue Krauss, FM of Detroit Regional Partnership, and Lionel Bradford of The Greening of Detroit. We discussed the efforts in the Detroit area to improve sustainability, foster community engagement, and realize the benefits sustainable communities create for the people and the ecosystems that are a part of it. There’s plenty of work to be done, but hearing from these individuals and others in our community who are doing important work inspires me - I hope it inspires you as well. Thank you everyone who joined our discussion! #SBNDetroit #Sustainability #Detroit #Inforum #SeeWhatsPossible #GetThereFaster

This past week, we welcomed a delegation of German industrial #decarbonization and #EnergyEfficiency innovators for a five-day tour across Detroit and Chicago. The participants connected with local stakeholders, presented their solutions, and engaged in transatlantic discussions on #sustainable #manufacturing. ? The journey started in Detroit, where Kerr Russell hosted our market briefing, including Mark Knoth's insights on U.S. legal considerations for foreign companies. Colton Dale from Detroit Regional Partnership and Zachary Kolodin from the Michigan Infrastructure Office gave an overview of the state’s market opportunities and sustainability initiatives. ? Tuesday took us to LuxWall, Inc.'s one of a kind facility in Litchfield, where high-performance windows for reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions are produced. Thank you to Jean Marie Mayher and Scott Thomsen for hosting us! ? Wednesday kicked off at MichAuto, who hosted us for a breakfast and networking event featuring keynotes from Justine Johnson, Drew Coleman, EDFP, MBA, and Beatrice Schulz, followed by a discussion on industrial decarbonization moderated by Jim Saber of NextEnergy.
