We are glad to support our partners in this work!
We recently held our very first CHMI ‘Road to Independence’ Fair and it was a huge success for residents on our Detroit campus. The fair provided on-site access to resources within the community that go beyond their stay with us. Check out this recap. 46 youth participated in the fair, connecting with healthcare providers, furniture resources, money management professionals and potential employers. Shout out to our partners who attended including: Comerica Bank Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan Ascension Better Way Detroit Wayne County Sheriff's Office SER Metro-Detroit Jobs For Progress Inc Detroit Phoenix Center Evans Counseling The Salvation Army Crossroads DCI Diploma & Careers Institute, and many more. All vendors offered resources to our youth and were also able to network with each other.

What an incredible day at the Detroit Harvest Fest, hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy!?The vibrant atmosphere at the Dequindre Cut was buzzing with excitement, and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of the fall festivities. ?? This event allowed us to connect with so many amazing people and share our mission with the community. It's always heartwarming to engage with attendees and inspire the next generation. We believe that events like these are invaluable in reaching more youth in a short amount of time, sparking curiosity and passion for what we do. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and supported our cause! Your enthusiasm and support fuel our efforts, and we can’t wait to return next year for more fun and connection. Until then, Much Love from our amazing team ??? #detroityouth #detroitvolunteers #detroiteducation?#blackleadersdetroit #detroitnonproft #detroitnonprofits #metrodetroit
