We are thrilled to share Leonard Weber's "Butterflies of Detroit", a collaboration between Sidewalk Detroit and DPC highlighting the vast diversity of Detroit's beautiful butterflies. This booklet contains photos of—and a little information about—24 different butterfly species that are found in Detroit, Michigan. In collaboration with the incredible?Marcus Elliot, we are thrilled to be selected as one of the The Joyce Foundation’s 2024 Joyce Awardees! ?? This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Foundation’s annual program, bringing together artists, organizations, and communities to build a stronger and more equitable future for communities in the Great Lakes region. Marcus and DPC will be celebrating Detroit’s green spaces with jazz. Marcus has chosen 5 Detroit parks to use as inspiration for 5 site specific compositions to be performed in Summer 2025. We are so excited to bring this project to our parks, keep a lookout for more on this collaboration soon! See (and hear) you in the parks!
