Detox Centers of America (DCOA) is a licensed Inpatient Detox and Residential facility that provides comprehensive quality addiction services. In tandem with evidence-based clinical practices, our culturally receptive approach fosters an environment of support and empowerment that allows patients to create a passage to healing, wellness and improved quality of life. We believe that alcohol and drug addiction is a complex but treatable disease thus we take the holistic approach, treating the mind, body and spirit with individualized treatment plans. Therefore, we are culturally sensitive when providing substance abuse services to diverse groups to include the First Nations. At DCOA, we recognize that underrepresented groups are often provided treatment plans that do not consider the patient’s customs and traditions. Accordingly, we believe in honoring our patients’ cultural values thus supplementing our clinical treatment with cultural based approaches enhances the holistic approach for the patient and their loved ones in their journey to recovery and sobriety.
