But first, we want to connect with YOU - members of the community. ?? Connect and meet with the design team over a series of community events happening next week, Jan 20th – Jan 25th. From intimate gatherings to moments of celebration, connect and engage on how you want the new health center to serve the needs of the community. I did something new. I was in fact nervous, even more nervous to share! I can't quite pinpoint why, yet...But I was able to stretched a different type of creative muscle and that felt light! My trepidation like many things found in the darkness of the unknown, subsided through great partnerships. Thank you to my friends over Tarkett Hospitality for letting me be a part of introducing Tiger Moth from their new Moth Collection. Watch and explore Leaning into the darkness that leads to light is where magic happens. It’s a transition that blends seamlessly. There are always patterns at play, varying scales creating a presence and natural geometry. Tiger Moths’ wings are?recognizable and unique,?a pattern leading you toward the light! At Determined by Design?, the word "diversity" is not a hashtag for us. Being limited to speaking about our mission only during Black History Month or other cultural celebrations is not enough for us. Unafraid to take risks, we jump to defy every design stereotype in the industry and show up as The People's Design Firm?. In an industry led by ego and "luxury", the importance of design in creating equitable spaces is not present and providing our Design Equity? services has actively shifted the narrative - making elevated Interior Design the standard for All, and not a luxury for a few. When I saw Kia Weatherspoon, NCIDQ, ASID and her team from Determined by Design? present at the EFA conference in Atlanta last month, it was the first time I heard speakers at any conference talk about design for Medicaid-funded eldercare services with the respect, creativity, care, and passion typically reserved for the highest-end "luxury" communities.
