We are excited to announce the promotion of Sarah Childers, PDM to Director of Destination Experiences at Destination Augusta! In her new role, Sarah will lead a talented team, focusing on creating and enhancing unique experiences for visitors while enriching our local community. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving key initiatives, including hosting meetings, conventions, and strengthening community ties with tourism partners. “Everyone belongs in Augusta, and my team aims to be an essential part of the warm hospitality our southern city is known for,” said Sarah. “We’re committed to ensuring that both visitors and residents have unforgettable local experiences.” Sarah’s dedication and significant contributions to Augusta’s tourism industry are evident in her past successes, including the award-winning Authentic Augusta Experience, the Augusta Coffee Trail, and the digital James Brown Journey trail. With her extensive experience in event planning, project management, community engagement, and marketing, Sarah brings invaluable expertise to this role.
