On this Veteran’s Day, we’re honored to recognize the service and sacrifices of veterans by sharing a project close to our hearts: the Ohio Veterans Home Sandusky Campus Expansion. For over 130 years this historic campus has served Ohio’s veterans and we’re proud to support its modernization by creating a space that truly honors their service and life stories. Rooted in the principles of Small House Design, this expansion will increase safety and quality of life, providing a more personalized home-like setting for veterans. The 128-bed skilled nursing facility will include private rooms organized into eight households, including a dedicated memory care household. Designed to reflect the legacy of the original 1888 Civil War-era campus, it will honor our veterans' unique needs and experiences with comfort, care, and community. Today and every day, we thank our veterans. Ohio Facilities Construction Commission Ohio Department of Veterans Services
