At design group JEDI Incorporated, collaboration is the lifeblood of every project—whether small or large, architecture, real estate, or construction. Success happens when teams work together. A recent example of this came in late fall 2024, undertaking full rehabilitation and restoration of a historic, landmarked commercial building. As with many #historicbuildings, #modernization poses challenges - in one case for this property, converting to forced air was not feasible within the budget and commitment to preserve interior architectural features and motif. Through close collaboration amongst client, architect, and contractor, we collectively made the best decision for the facility, guests, owners, op-ex; including in-kind replacement of the 450,000 BTUH boiler. Executing this was no small feat, but with great communication and teamwork, we turned challenges into wins. #collaboration #camaraderie #communication #teamwork

Costs weren’t the concern. What mattered most was how our proposal clearly outlined the methodology for problem-solving. Though an extremely challenging proposition - structural and architectural rehabilitation of subsurface foundation and bearing wall failure - A strong proposal isn’t just a document; it’s a #roadmap, a #trustbuilder, and the most powerful #communication tool at one's disposal.
