As Augusta Health prepares to boost their capacity by upgrading their switchgear and generator plant, we’re taking proactive steps to ensure success. Using our Trimble scanner, we’re capturing exact site conditions. These scans will guide our BIM/CAD team in designing accurate conduit rack layouts in Revit—minimizing rework, maximizing precision, and delivering cost-effective results. #ElectricalContractor #CommercialConstruction #SwitchgearUpgrade #GeneratorInstallation #TrimbleTechnology # 3DScanning #BIMModeling #ProactivePlanning www.designelectricinc.com

On Tuesday, our Telecommunications Team successfully replaced equipment on a 400-foot tower in Edenton, North Carolina. Thanks to detailed pre-planning and careful coordination, the team executed every step with precision—both on the ground and in the air. Each antenna mount, weighing 1,000 pounds, was swiftly removed and replaced with an upgraded unit. This work supports stronger connectivity, reinforcing our clients' trust in our ability to deliver dependable results. https://lnkd.in/gGxakXA Midwest Helicopter Airways, Inc. Design Electric Inc.'s Mentorship Director, Kerry Wyant, is laying the groundwork for new helpers Joshua Henry and Todd Novacek. With early instruction in blueprint reading, pipe bending, and wire pulling, they’re gaining the skills they need to thrive. We're proud to welcome them to the team and can’t wait to see what they accomplish on the exciting projects ahead. #CommercialElectricalContractor #SkilledTrades #GrowingOurTeam #SkilledTradesTraining #WelcomeToTheTeam #FutureElectricians #HandsOnLearning #BuildingTheFuture www.designelectricinc.com

University of Virginia's Fontaine Parking Garage Project The Fontaine Parking Garage is being constructed to provide parking for staff across the entire complex. Early in the project, we laid out the hole locations for the precast installation based on the drawings, preventing the need for drilling later. Our electrical work is progressing from east to west, and we are approximately three-quarters of the way through conduit installation. Wire pulls have not yet begun. The entire structure is precast, meaning components are fabricated off-site, transported via tractor-trailers, and assembled on location. The garage consists of seven floors, including a basement. There will be five to six electric vehicle charging stations, with additional rough-ins in place for future expansion. Currently, only conduit is being installed for these stations. There is a carbon monoxide exhaust system in the basement level. Conduit has been installed for two exhaust fans that will activate when carbon monoxide levels are detected, ensuring proper ventilation. Several carbon monoxide detectors are installed on this level to monitor air quality. Most of the electrical service equipment is now in place, with wires pulled and made up. We are currently in the rough-in stage, with wire pulls scheduled to begin in May. Our prefabrication shop has assembled the stems for the light fixtures. Each fixture contains integrated sensors, allowing them to operate at 50% brightness when the area is unoccupied and increase to 100% when motion is detected. Our team has worked hard to make this project a success, from planning ahead, to working through extremely cold days, everyone “gets it done” and we are proud of the effort and collaboration thus far. We also have had the opportunity to bring in a couple of new apprentices on this project, and Smitty, our superintendent, is making sure they get a well rounded experience - preparing the next generation for excellence." #CommercialElectricalContracting #CommercialConstruction #ParkingGarage #EVCharing #ConstructionInProgress #ElectricalWork #ElectricalApprenticeship #SkilledTrades #BiuldingForTheFuture #ElectricalIndustry The Clear Choice for Commercial & Industrial Electrical Services https://lnkd.in/gTvPqbvd Breeden Construction

University of Virginia's Fontaine Energy Project Update We’re approximately 95% complete with installing the prefab overhead racks, which means most of the overhead conduit work is now finished. Current focus areas include branch lighting and remaining conduit runs, including fire alarm conduit, which is actively in progress. On the second floor, we're roughing in the stud walls and overhead conduit in the office area. Additional rough-in work is underway for rooftop equipment—both the lower and upper roof sections. We’re scheduled to set the switchgear within the next two weeks. Once that’s in place, we’ll begin a major push for wire pulls and terminations. At that stage, it will be all hands on deck to keep up with the pace of work needed to meet our project completion target at the end of October. This project has created a great opportunity to grow our team, with Brian McCarthy training to become an Electrical Foreman, and Ben Cuomo working towards his Journeyman's License. Our approach and the quality of our craftsmanship are a result of the hard work everyone has put in, and our shared commitment to help one another succeed. #ProjectUpdate #ConstructionProgress #ElectricalProgress #SkilledTrades #ElectricalCraftmanship #Leadership #WeGetItDone #BuildWithPride #ElectricalCareers www.designelectricinc.com
