To kick things off, we hosted a fun painting social event, where duos had the chance to meet, bond, and start building their creative partnerships in a relaxed setting ?? We're excited to see how these connections will evolve and expand our design community.

Hey designers, We recently hosted Design Duos, a program aimed at fostering collaboration, skill-sharing, and mentorship among designers. Here’s a recap of our successful week: Day 1: Introduction to Design Duos We started with an overview of the program, icebreakers for getting acquainted, and a beginner-friendly lesson on design principles. Day 2: Design Duels The day featured fun icebreakers, a 'Guess the App' game with emojis, a workshop on wireframing, and a team competition to redesign the Design@UCR logo. Day 3: Socializing & Fundraiser We held a speed-friending session and a 'Dynamic Duo' challenge where participants matched with partners using sticky notes. We concluded with a fundraiser at Panda Express to support Design@UCR. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the week!

Hi Designers! Last week, we hosted our Design & Engineering Fair in collaboration with ACM@UCR, Gamespawn, and Women in Computing @ UCR! Together, we explored the intersection of design and software engineering, covering career pathways in UI/UX, the design process with SWE, and ways to get more involved. Attendees connected through icebreakers, learned about each organization, and participated in open discussions. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to our amazing partners for making this event possible! Looking forward to more creativity and collaboration in the future.

Hi Designers! We kicked off the fall quarter with our first meeting, Design 101, welcoming everyone back from summer break! Attendees learned about Design@UCR, our programs, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. It was a great opportunity to network, meet new board members, and reconnect with familiar faces.
