On August 20th, we had the privilege of capturing an incredible moment for our city as Houston officially proclaimed National Latina Day – Latina Innovators in Tech, a day to honor the Latina innovators who are making a real impact in tech across industries. The gathering at The Lymbar at Ion Houston was filled with inspiring conversations, local art, by Jatziri Barron and a strong sense of community. Leaders from across Houston shared their stories, reminding us why representation matters and how much more we can achieve together. We were proud to recognize and celebrate an amazing group of honorees who are leading the way in their fields: Inez Escandon, ?? ???? M G., Juliana Garaizar, Michelle Avalos, Priscila True, Ana Machado, Karen Martin, Damyanna Cooke, Sarah Smith, Andrea Lastra, Alondra Avila, Adrienne Mangual, Blanca Estela Gonzales , Veronica Juarez, and Evelyn Cepeda.
