We're so excited for the rain this morning! But please, stay off the trails until the ground is dry. If your boots leave a footprint, please turn around. Thank you for being a good steward of our fragile desert trails!

Leaping Zebra-tailed Lizards, it's #WildlifeWednesday! Zebra-tailed lizards are found from central Nevada to northern Mexico. They have unique adaptations to help them beat the heat, including standing alternately on two legs at a time to regulate body temperature. They often wave their iconic black-and-white striped tail in a distraction display, then quickly skitter off to avoid predators. Look for them in open, sandy areas like PA Seitts Preserve.
