What a blast! Desert Care Network was proud to sponsor the fundraising gala Saturday for Hanson House, a home away from home for loved ones of critically ill and injured hospital patients. The "California Dreamin'" theme had everyone wearing 50s and 60s themed clothes to the Palm Springs Surf Club venue, where we celebrated a fantastic nonprofit organization. Hanson House Foundation provides low- or no-cost lodging and the comforts of home in stressful times to those who often travel a great distance. #HansonHouse

Desert Regional Medical Center hosted 'Robot Days' at the hospital! More than 250 students from the health academies at Palm Springs High School and Cathedral City High School got a hands-on experience with some of the most advanced robotic technology used in surgical procedures at Desert Regional. Students personally got to drive the new daVinci 5 surgical robot, the same model used by surgeons in the operating room. They also ran a simulation of the Ion robot that helps physicians seek out and diagnose lung cancer. Plus, they toured the cardiac catheterization lab and learned about the diversity of career opportunities in healthcare. We are so excited to help inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals in the Coachella Valley! Thank you to the students who attended.
