Congratulations to our whole team!
We won! Australian Technologies Competition Biotech of the Year! ?? It feels surreal to have DermR Health recognised as a technology with the potential to impact millions of lives. What many may not know is that to reach the finals, each of the 138 semi-finalists had to submit a detailed business plan and go-to-market strategy. This included who we want on our advisory board, how we plan to engage them, our key opinion leaders, and how we’ll activate them. The entire process was reviewed by a panel of VC firms, industry experts, and others with experience in scaling startups. Winning this award is validation that our business plan is strong and our go-to-market strategy is solid. While startup technology is an amazing space, business execution is where many fail. I’m incredibly grateful for the educational support from Cicada Innovations, MedTech Actuator, The BridgeTech Program courses. The Department of Health (WA Health) The #Challenge - which gave us crucial insights into clinical workflows and hospital access, all of which informed our business plan. A special thank you to Jenny Aiken, who years ago taught me the importance of being very specific in a go-to-market strategy. Even though it feels like everything is happening at once for us, this is just 1% of the work behind DermR Health. A HUGE thank you to our team CPO Chris Short, Biomedical Engineer Bradman Marks, Biotechnoligst Kilo. H N. and Expert Jaret Lee for their countless hours and dedication, especially on weekends. Lastly, I want to thank every partner and institution who believed in us, put their reputation on the line, and supported a technology with no precedents—just a shared belief that the way skin cancer is diagnosed must change. #DermR #Biotech #AustralianTechnologiesCompetition #Innovation #Startup #SkinCancer #Medtech
