As most of Western NC continues to rebuild after Hurricane Helene, Deriva Energy has committed to donating $300,000 in aid for those affected by this tragic event. With four operating solar farms in Western NC, we have been supplying power to the area to aid the recovery efforts. Last Friday, our CEO, John Clapp, met with Matt Johnson (Deriva VP of Construction), Jake Madsen (Deriva Area Manager), and Dustin Garver (Deriva Renewables Construction Manager) to tour our newest solar site, Spanish Peaks, currently under construction in Las Animas County, Colorado. Once completed, Spanish Peaks will provide 140 megawatts of solar energy enough to power approximately 100,000 homes!
