The third INDUS-X summit is convening U.S. and Indian investors, innovators, and researchers in Silicon Valley, California to continue building partnerships that produce critical defense technologies. Picture living in an isolated environment built for another planet for more than a year, just to see what would be needed to adapt and survive. Four NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration volunteers recently finished a 378-day stint inside the CHAPEA mission’s Mars Alpha Dune habitat, built for that mission. One volunteer, a US Navy microbiologist, detailed some of the mission’s challenges and what the experience was like.
