IDGA Day Two Continues Conversations of Logistics Interoperability with Allies and Partners! Day two of IDGA Logistics Defense and Support Conference kicked off, Oct 30 with opening remarks from Major General (Ret) Allan Day, Former Director of Logistics Operations, Defense Logistics Agency. Day two continued conversations of logistics with industry partners, focusing on industrial-based policies, strategies and enhancing readiness for the military and its partners. Our very own Ms. Kim Brown Deputy Director of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection, served on the Strategies for Modernizing Military Supply Chain and Logistics panel. Ms. Brown painted a vision for Air Force logistics as responsive, resilient, and ready to deliver in a contested logistics environment. She addressed the enterprise focus on generating readiness by leading a collaborative effort to achieve prioritized support. Further, Ms. Brown described how the Air Force can overcome contested logistics challenges and implement the Regional Sustainment Framework (RSF), enabling Agile Combat Employment (ACE) and strengthening logistics interoperability with allies and partners. In a later session, Mr. Steve Martinez, Chief Logistics Strategy, Concepts & Programs Division, Directorate for Logistics, discussed Transforming Air Force Logistics. His presentation energized the audience to think differently about the challenges of contested logistics, highlighting the fact that logistics is warfighting, and as such, it must be integrated with all the other warfighting functions. Thank you, Ms. Brown and Mr. Martinez, for enabling warfighter readiness and leading these critical discussions! #USA4L #Logistics
